LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) - The charitable organization Sabu Help will hold a fundraiser dinner at Eastern Oregon University on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Hoke Union Building, Room 309.
Tickets for the banquet are $20 per person or $30 per couple and free to EOU students. Guests will have a choice of chicken, beef or vegetarian entrée and pizza will be served for students. The event will also feature a performance by the EOU African Drumming Ensemble.
Doctor Ayeliya, a 2008 EOU graduate from Ghana, founded Sabu Help. Ayeliya's goal is to raise money for the poor in Ghana and provide financial assistance, training and counseling. All proceeds from the banquet will go to support the organization's mission.
Students in Free Enterprise and Aramark are partnering with Sabu Help to present the fundraiser. For more information visit www.sabuhelp.org.
